Refunds and cancellations
What happens if a job is cancelled, cut short, or does not solve your problem. In effect from 1 September 2026 and applies to all work performed by JDW IT LLC.
Prepaid on-site visits
Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before the scheduled time for a full refund. Inside 24 hours, the payment stays on your account as credit toward a future visit. If I have already traveled to the site and no one is there, the two-hour minimum is earned.
Prepaid remote blocks
Refunded in full any time before the session starts. Once the session begins, the one-hour minimum is earned.
When I cannot solve the problem
If I cannot make meaningful progress on what you hired me for, I do not keep your money. For remote work that means a full refund of the block. For on-site work you owe the time I was there, and I will tell you before the clock runs past the point where you are paying for something that is not working.
Work added during an on-site visit
If you ask me to do additional work beyond the repair you originally scheduled, and the address is a private residence rather than a business, federal law gives you three business days to cancel that additional work. I will put that in writing and hand you two copies of a cancellation notice before starting it. Where practical I will quote add-on work and let you accept it by email instead, so the job is scheduled rather than sold at your door.
Parts and hardware
Anything I purchase on your behalf follows the vendor’s return policy, including any restocking fee they charge. I will give you those terms before ordering.
Balances and custom amounts
Payments for work already performed are not refundable. If you believe a charge is wrong, tell me — I would rather correct an invoice than argue about one.
How refunds are issued
Email support@jdwit.com with what happened. Approved refunds go back through PayPal to the method you paid with. PayPal usually returns funds within a few business days, though card refunds can take longer depending on your bank.
Before you dispute a charge
If something is wrong, please contact me first. A dispute filed with PayPal or your bank freezes the funds and takes weeks to resolve; an email usually takes an hour. Reach me at support@jdwit.com or (601) 706-9302.
This is a request, not a condition. Nothing here limits your rights with your card issuer, with PayPal, or under Mississippi or federal law.
Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under Mississippi or federal law. Questions about it are welcome before you book, not only after.
