About JDW IT

The person who actually answers the phone.

JDW IT is a one-person operation by design—so the person who quotes the job, does the job, and follows up afterward is always the same person.

The Story

Learning technology by actually running it

Jason built JDW IT with over 20 years working across help desk support, network administration, and IT leadership roles—managing everything from break/fix issues with desktops/laptops/printers, firewalls and VLAN-segmented networks to Microsoft 365 tenants and multi-site rollouts.

He holds two associate degrees – one in Computer Networking and another in Network Security, and stays current with hands-on projects at home.  He manages a self-hosted server stack, smart-home automation, and a network he monitors and tunes the same way he would for a client.

JDW IT exists to bring that same enterprise-level discipline to people who don’t have an IT department—homeowners and small businesses, without the overhead of a big-box support contract.

Mission

Make good IT support accessible, honest, and easy to reach

Technology should make your day easier, not harder. JDW IT’s mission is straightforward: solve the problem in front of you, explain what happened, and put safeguards in place so it’s less likely to happen again.

What Makes Us Different

Not a call center. Not a ticket number.

01

No drop-off, no hassle

Most problems are solved live on your screen without you lifting a finger—no packing up a computer, no waiting on a shop. Get the problem resolved so that you can get back to what you were doing with little downtime.

02

One point of contact

You will always talk to the same person who’s actually doing the work—no hand-offs, no re-explaining the problem three times.

03

Generalist depth, not a script

Broad, hands-on experience across networking, security, cloud administration, and hardware means most problems get solved on the first visit.

04

Proactive, not just reactive

Every job gets the same practices used to run enterprise networks—scaled down to fit a home or small office.
